Room and bathroom were very clean. Comfortable beds. Rm 303 was cosy with a great view to Nazare beach, a one-minute walk away. Many restaurants in the area. Good wifi. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They had reserved a parking space for us (very important even though it's the end of November!) and walked with us to the spot, insisting to carry our small bags. Heating was fast, efficient and much appreciated on a very cold, wintry night.
By the Sea provides beachfront accommodations in Nazaré. There's a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.

Everything was great!
- the location was incredible, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby, right next to the beach;
-the room was comfortable, impeccably clean, had plenty of storage and 2 windows;
-the staff was friendly and ready to help;
-the building even had a shared kitchen, with fridge space available.
As someone who always stays at accomodations within this same price range, this has been my best experience so far.

Beautiful fishing village with real Portuguese flair.
Beautiful fishing village with real Portuguese flair. We have been there three times in the last 15 years. My wife's favorite and dream place. The city is slowly going through a transformation and is becoming more touristy, but we can't judge that hardly since we were always there before or after the season. On the weekends, we noticed a little negatively the many tourist buses that flooded the city for an afternoon.

Nazaré is beautiful.
Nazaré is beautiful. It's a great place to chill and watch the sea. The beach is wide and clean. All the restaurants and bars in the area (that we tried) were great. Shopkeepers were kind and helpful. Be sure to get up to the Lighthouse and check out the Surf Museum. Super cool. It's 2eu to get in and totally worth it. The views up there are awesome. Seriously, I have not one negative thing to say about it.

Nazare was wonderful. I wear accommodations were great.
Nazare was wonderful. I wear accommodations were great. Gil the manager was amazing with us. In fact my friend left her coat in the closet. When they cleaned the room he found it and sent me messages and mailed it to a spot where we could pick it up. That was amazing.
The apartment was adorable It was perfect for our purposes the view from one bedroom of the ocean was amazing. The view off the kitchen balcony was great and we could see the ocean as well. This is a perfect apartment for two people sometimes for.
I would certainly book that again if I were to be in that area. Thank you

Quaint little town with local vibes, great for a few days visit. It was very chilled and quiet and surrounded by beautiful forest. Cuisine is mainly fish and seafood, though there are plenty of Italian and meat places. Also choc a block with gelaterias!!! We caught Carnaval and it was fun to see the cavalcade and the locals dressed up.

What I liked best was seeing the big wave surf contest.
What I liked best was seeing the big wave surf contest. There were these amazing and huge 20-50 ft waves that arrived in sets located near the lighthouse on the cliff at the North Beach while I was in Nazare. The beach was also very nice and wide both north and south of the lighthouse. The sunsets were spectacular, and I enjoyed watching the sun set while drinking wine and people watching at the little beachside restaurants. I also enjoyed walking down south to the marina and going north to the surf museum at the lighthouse on the big cliff in the town of Sitio. The local bus only cost €1.50 to ride from Nazare (near the central market) to Sitio where the lighthouse is located. The traditional food (seafood) was really fresh and I liked that the tradition of fish drying that is done by the fish ladies was still being practiced.

Great beach but the real action is on the hill in Sitio...
Great beach but the real action is on the hill in Sitio where there are the great surf waves to be seen in the winter months and the very impressive display of surf boards and photos of the guys who've surfed the world's biggest waves in Nazare,
impeccably clean and dry! what’s rare for Portugal. comfy and cozy, brilliant and modern design of rooms and shared facilities (which is again not very common in Portugal). very friendly and helpful stuff! fantastic view! decent breakfast, you might get fed up with it if you stay longer than 2-3 days, cos it’s always the same, served in a cafe nearby, so they just always bring you literally the same thing with zero variations. my best experience in Portugal so far!
Osvaldo was lovely to work with! He was prompt in communication as well as really helpful at the time of check in and out.
We loved our stay in Nazaré! Such a beautiful town! The apartment was cosy and clean. The bed linen was gloriously white and crisp. The balcony was super useful as we could hang our towels and swimwear to dry. The beach was really close, and Osvaldo's restaurant recommendations were the best!
Great flat, as on the pictures. Importantly, it had very efficient heating/cooling which is important in Portugal, especially in the winter. Senor Osvaldo was an exemplary host, spoke great English, went out of his way to be helpful, was very communicative, delivered us they keys early and secured a free parking spot for us in front of the building. He also gave us valuable advice on Nazare.
Most excellent room! View of the beach from our porch where we could watch an INCREDIBLE sunset! Staff was great, spoke multiple languages and handled everything we needed with ease. The pictures are the sunset from the front of the hotel. ALSO- 2 of the best meals of our entire vacation at the Restaurant associated with the hotel.
hotel Magic was a great surprise. Our room was large and immaculate with comfortable beds and a small balcony. Parking is free in a lot two blocks away. the included breakfast is fantastic - a huge buffet with delicious choices. the staff were friendly and very helpful. Great hotel and great value. Would definitely use again.
I recommend Quinta do Campo to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the history of Portugal. A grand and important property still in family ownership being carefully renovated.
the owner is very generous with access to family living spaces.
Drove in to Nazaré for dinner and had fantastic seafood there.
great hotel!!! very comfortable beds and room! i had the best deck looking tight at the cliffs, staff in the breakfast room are auperb… four men and each could not have been more lovely. the hotel is close to the beach, clean, and has lots of open sitting on the roof to enjoy the views and a pool!
One of the best accommodations we stayed in Portugal. Well equiped, heated (super important for winter stay in PT), clean and light.. In the center of old part of Nazare. Few minutes walk to panoramic site and lighthouse. Stairs walk or cable car to the coastline. Thank you for the experience!
The property is quaint with very comfortable accommodations. The bunk beds are on the wall in a cabinet so they are unobtrusive when only accommodating 2 adults. The bath is small but well laid out. Breakfast was good. Similar to all breakfasts in Portugal.
I really liked the location of the hotel. It was right downtown of Nazare so much easier for my parents to get around to different areas. The breakfast was awesome. It had a great view from the breakfast room. Totally awesome place to stay!!
This property has absolutely everything you might need during your stay. There is even some beach umbrellas available for guests to use - which we appreciated a lot after a week of beach hopping in Portugal. Definitely 10 out of 10!
The property had all the modern conveniences, a big plus was how clean bright and central it was. We were literally across the street from the beautiful beach of Nazaré. Close to mercado, stores & wonderful beachfront restaurants.
Nazare is well situated to explore Central Portugal attractions. Location, steps from the beach. Well appointed kitchen, bonus washing machine 😊 Parking is included.
Bright and happy decor!
Breakfast was excellent. Each morning there would be a specialty home made cake! One chocolate cake was the best dessert I’d had in my one month holiday in Portugal … and I know my desserts!
Clean and comfortable room a short walk away from the bustle of downtown Nazare. More outlets for charging devices than most 4 and 5 star hotel rooms. Excellent value.
Small hotel in the walking distance form the beach and city center of Nazaré. In the city is a very big problem with the parking. Room was small but clean.
