This hotel is on the Camino and right in the city center. My room was huge and had a bathtub, nice for soaking feet. Breakfast was great. Terrific value for price

The staff is very very polite and friendly. Location is very good since you are in the center of the city of Barcelos. There's a great potential for this hotel, but sadly, i think the management is not putting some budget in order to keep it in shape.

The building was absolutely beautiful overlooking an historic square. Staff was friendly and professional. And after walking the Camino for several days, it was wonderful to take advantage of their laundry service - It was a little pricey, but I think we got our clothes back within two hours! Highly recommend this place.

This town is a car crash! - despite Unesco city of creativity.
1-2 hours plenty to look around the last remaining intact bits of town, apart from visiting on a Thursday when supposedly there is a market going on.
So many other places to see in the area!
Why waste your time?

We were there for Dance World Cup finals in Braga so didn't see a lot of Barcelos but surrounding areas very beautiful. Lots of stunning countryside covered in vineyards. Definitely would go back to explore more!

The city is beautiful and with a lot of monuments and churches to visit. It also had some pretty interesting shops in a central shopping area and some interesting looking restaurants. From traditional to hipster food- you can find everything there. The day I visited, the city had a huge market in the center, street food and entertainment. There were some traditional music concerts, traditional dancing, flower and light decorations all over... Very pretty. I was positively surprised by the mixture of historical and city-like vibes.

Barcelos is an attractive market town, worth a visit in its own right. We visited to see the famous Thursday morning market but were a little disappointed. As veterans of many markets around the world, this was large and certainly worth seeing for the wide range of delicious local produce, including ducklings and other young fowls for sale and traditional gardening and tilling instruments plus locally made diy materials. There was modern furniture too. However, we found the pottery and earthenware a little disappointing, stall after stall of basic chunky red clay pots, but few quality or hand painted items. Also few traditional cotton items for which Portugal is so renowned - towels, bedspreads, curtains, tablecloths. We could happily have spent more time exploring Barcelos itself but had only allowed time for the market, before the short drive to Porto.

Barcelos is a sleepy, medieval town where we stayed for 4 nights in total. The town has several nice bars and restaurants with numerous medieval buildings if you're after some history.
The one downside being we struggled to get Ubers out of the town and down to Porto and Braga.
The property was exactly like in the pictures and it was really clean and packed with loads of details.
The hosts went the extra mile allowing us to check out later. They were replying to messages really quick and were understanding when we provoked a small issue with one chair in the living room.
Barcelos is a very nice town very convenient to visit Braga, Guimaraes and Porto. It's full of places to eat and have drinks and do some nice sightseeing too
I would recommend this property 100%
I spent one night here while walking Camino Portugues, and it was perfect for me. It was a bit confusing that I had to pick up the key from Art'otel Barcelos a hundred meters down the street, but no problem. There are grocery stores (Pingo Doce just beyond the Art'otel) nearby, the kitchen was well-equipped, there's a nice patio, and the room was everything I needed.
very good location, right across the River from Barcelos where you’ll find lots of restaurants, cafes and sights. the host is also incredible - he washed our clothes when we arrived, and when they weren’t dry the next day due to rain, took them into town to a dryer. also gave us lots of great recommendations for what to do in town.
We loved the location of the guest house, it was super central in Barcelos, a 2 minute walk from cafes, shops, restaurants and all the sites to see. The room itself was extremely clean and cosy, we really appreciated the air conditioning during the heat! The kitchenette was very well equipped and great for a short stay.
Everything was just lovely!!!!
Beautiful, comfortable room with views of the city and surrounding mountains. The service was friendly and very, very helpful and accommodating. Convenient location. If you plan to stay in Barcelos I highly recommend Casa da Ana.
Great location! The staff went the extra distance to ensure our stay in Barcelos and the hotel was wonderful. Breakfast was varied and outstanding. We also ate at the Bagoeria restaurant for dinner (not included in hotel price); it was fabulous.
Extremely helpful staff, my partner arrived injured and they took great care of us. Just outside Barcelos but super fast to get to the ruins and center, and right on the Camino. And breakfast was delicious! Love the homemade jams.
beautifully designed and clean. nicely located in the middle of Barcelos with nice restaurants around the corner and a lovely local market every Thursday. Eva is a lovely and friendly human being. cheers!
Amazing family property, a lovely garden and pool. The family is welcoming and the staff is very helpful. Has great potential but lacks a bit of that hotel professional service that justifies the price.
The location is optimal for exploring Barcelos...The interior is a mix of the old with the new...Wifi was good...The bed was comfortable...Mini bar with tea and coffee and bonus...
The hostel is really beautiful, tidy and comfortable. It is close to the river. The hosts are very kind, nice and helpful. If you're in Barcelos, make sure you stay here.
This hotel is on the Camino and right in the city center. My room was huge and had a bathtub, nice for soaking feet. Breakfast was great. Terrific value for price
We loved the art in the hotel and the pool was a luxury after walking all day in the heat plus they had a bar so we had cocktails by the pool - Fabulous!
