Great location, beach is lovely lots of surfing, bigger waves nearer to Porto city end , lovely shops and cafes ,
Metro and bus into city , double decor bus best as you see right along the beach , just tap on with your bank card no faffing with validating , and just as fast , big yellow number 500 ,
The port is an interesting look around and fish market, expect it to be a bit smelly though it’s a huge working port

We loved that we did not need to rent a car (Uber was always a few minutes away). There were many activities to do: Beach, water sports, Restaurants, Casa da Guitarra Fado show, Porto & Wine Tasting. The city is walkable and full of small interesting shops and buildings. I highly recommend Bacalhau in Muro dos Bacalhoeiros 153 - 155

I would not stay in the suites again but enjoyed the locality of the old town of Matosinhos and it’s very nice beach. There is a very moving sculpture on the beach about the tragic loss of the fishing fleet and many men from the town, during a terrible storm in the last century. There are many really good traditional restaurants with delicious traditional Portuguese food, away from the beach area. The public transport is good with Metro and bus connections to central Porto. There are many beautiful art nouveau and art deco era buildings in the town.

Fabulous walking paths north and south of the beach, all with great views, super sunsets. There are a few restaurants along the beach, more as you head south. Great transport connections directly from the beach into Porto ( the 500 bus, takes about 35 mins)

A previous industrial area that has been converted to mostly residential. Very modern with a few old-town parts. The beach south of the harbor was one of the best and my reason to stay here. Great bus connection to the old part of Porto.
We wanted to spend the last day of our trip to Portugal next to the ocean and we got that. The balcony from which you can see the ocean was a very nice thing. The bathroom was quite good. The common part of the apartments felt like the hosts just left it for you yesterday. Small but nice kitchen. Very good dining table with the option to enjoy the meal in front of TV set (we were too tired after Porto :D). The private parking was not maybe necessary, but still a nice feature - you can literally put suitcases from the car into the house.
Room very spacious and comfy, daily cleaning was a plus and the welcome drinks was more than welcome, we loved the terrace and the restaurant food was simply delish. The area full of restaurants, bars and bakeries was definitely a highlight but the short walk to the sea front and the activities that we were able to do in the surroundings was the best ever. Even though was on the limits of the city of Porto a quick 20 min ride on Uber would takes us to the main attractions, and Uber is very cheap in Portugal compared to Ireland.
Perfect location, apartment is very conveniently located, just a few steps away from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Perfect to discover surfing or explore Matosinhos and Porto. 15 min walk from Parque da Cidade. The convenience of parking is priceless, particularly during a busy holiday season. Miguel and Kristina are very warm, welcoming, and flexible hosts, they made sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed.
Yes the breakfast was amazing. Huge selection with many fruits and vegetables, pastries, fresh whole grain bread, eggs, sausage, even vegetable/ mushroom stir fry, yogurts, etc. They had everything even my favorite tea Roobios! Also the service in the cafeteria/banquet room by Leicia (spelling?) and Mariana was very attentive and also friendly. I will definitely be using this and any other Eurostar Hotel again!
The staff were amazing - really helpful and friendly - keen to help solve problems and suggest routes into to the city - we were cycling - outstanding customer service.received an upgrade which was very kind.Give. The location in the metro line and the amazing fish restaurants in the area would recommend this hotel as a perfect base to explore Porto instead of overpriced options in the city.
Well simply put this was one of the best city hotels I've ever stayed in my life. Super clean, comfy, modern, friendly staff, very good breakfast, no noise mini fridge or air condicionate. I was impressed and will stay here again next time I come to Porto. I read people complaining about the parking garage but I didn't use it because it was not so hard to just find parking outside.
Small, family run hotel that was an excellent value.
It can be hard to find places with air conditioning was happy that there was air con in my room.
Small single room was well appointed and had everything I needed.
The entire staff was super kind and friendly.
Close to public transportation.
The location was within a 30 minute Metro ride of center. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The apartment was extremely clean and tidy with the facilities for a short stay.
Communications with owner very good and even made the effort to introduce himself.
Harbour Inn Design Townhouse was a perfect location -- steps away from the Matosinhos beach, steps away from the best seafood restaurants in Porto. However, what really made our stay was the exceptional service from Paula and team.
The room was a clean and upper floor. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options, fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel. A lot of groceries stories and restaurants just in the corner of the hotel.
The hotel is very well located, in a cute neighborhood, not far from the beach.
The staff is very friendly and understanding. The rooms are beautiful and well cleaned every day.
Pleasant staff. Good location near Matosinhos Market. Nice room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. I stayed in this hotel years ago and didn't like it, but it is much improved now.
Location in Porto, close to bus and train station, beach just down the street, cafes next door. Staff friendly and room clean. Instant hot water in shower.
