Grande Hotel de Paris

Grande Hotel de Paris

Since 1999, we are working to preserve the hotel, a cultural and accommodation reference in the city. In 2010 we started the project "Grande Hotel de Paris - A History in Porto", that originated the publication of a book. Besides the fundamental restructuring of hotel services, dozens of period pieces have been recovered, emerging in its wings, a friendly "hotel museum," evoking memories of random episodes and famous guests.

Just 400 metres from São Bento Train Station, the Belle Époque styled Grande Hotel de Paris is the oldest hotel in Porto. It offers rooms with antique furnishings and private balconies overlooking Porto’s centre. All of the rooms at the Grande Hotel include a private bathroom, a TV, and central heating. Free WiFi access is available throughout. A varied buffet breakfast that includes traditional Portuguese sweets and pastries are served in the Belle Époque main hall. On sunny days the rooms opens into a lovely garden. Guest can relax in one of the Grande Hotel’s 2 lounges or with a drink in the hotel bar. The Grande Hotel has a 24-hour reception, a multilingual library, and an exhibition hall. The Grande Hotel is just 300 metres of the Clerigo's Church and less than 1 km from the Ribeira square, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel is also close to the lively nightlife areas of Galerias de Paris and Rua de Cândido dos Reis.
