Praia de Esposende
The beach at Esposende is one of the finest on the Costa Verde (Green Coast). Backed by low sand dunes and bordering the river Cavado, this is a popular, yet laid back spot.
Behind the dunes are the 17th century Forte de São João Baptista along with the red metal tower of the town's lighthouse, the Farol de Esposende.
