Whale Watching Activity in North Coast

Whale watching in the North Coast of São Miguel is a unique way of exploring the Azorean seas. Our goal is to get revive as much as possible, how the activity was done back in the early days of Whale Watching. Starting in the north coast also means we are now working on areas of the island, usually not used for this kind of experiences, therefore benefiting the local communities. This is help us to create an even more sustainable aproach to how we should operate in the context of our island.As soon as our spotters give us the go-ahead, the adventure is on!

Let's go to Furnas, one of the most emblematic places on the island of São Miguel. Starting at the south coast of the island, we stop at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Paz where we have a view over Vila Franca do Campo, São Miguel's first capital. In Furnas we can observe one of the active volcanoes, enjoying its impressive lagoon and boiling water boilers, where the traditional stew is made. We go to one of the most impressive botanical gardens in Europe, composed of a huge variety of plants and trees, in addition to having small lakes and streams.
