The Levada do Norte is one of the longest and oldest levadas on Madeira Island. Built Many centuries ago, its main purpose was to carry the water from the North side of Madeira, which was more humid and rainier, to the South side, in order to irrigate the main agricultural lands.This Levada is perfect for those who wish to do a relaxing and easy walk on their visit to Madeira Island.Image
