Trompica easy run

This is an easy 11km mountain trail run overlooking the great deep valleys of the island.The trail begins in the parish of Jardim da Serra and it is a mix of dirt roads, mountain sceneries and forest tracks. Our path goes from Boca da Corrida viewpoint through Aviceiros, entering Trompica’s forest and continuing to Fonte dos Burros, where Serra d’Água, Encumeada and Paul da Serra can be seen in the background.

São Jorge extreme run 1

This is a hard level 31km trail with skyrunning characteristics for the most radical ones.This route begins at Calhau de São Jorge, from where we'll cross a path til an old bridge and climb up til the parish of Ilha.Passing the site of Vale da Lapa, we'll climb through stone steps and wooden rolls to access Pico Ruivo's road.Along the central mountain massif, we'll reach a technical trail that passes through Pico do Milhafre and Pico Canário and we started going down through a rail surrounded by centenarian heaths til Miradouro das Voltas.

Encumeada extreme run

This is a hard lever trail in the mountainous massif of Madeira that passes through Curral das Freiras (Nun's Valley) and begins at Encumeada, the central zone that divides the north and the south sides of the island.The first part of the route takes you on an accessible trail that passes through Curral Jangão and gradually ascends to Chão da Relvinha, where we'll descend til Fajã Escura.Arriving here, we follow Fajã dos Cardos, where we'll see a trail surrounded by agricultural plantations.This is where we start to climb til Boca das Torrinhas, a point where you can contemplate

Curral das Freiras extreme run

This 32km trail begins at Boca dos Namorados, from where we have a top view of the picturesque village, Curral das Freiras.We go through a long technical trail that ends at Lombo Chão.Reaching the centre, we proceed through some paths til Fajã Escura and ending in a place called Relvinhas.

Santo da Serra intermediate run

Starting at the parish of Santo da Serra, this medium level 23km trail follows a dirt road that leads us to Levada da Serra do Faial.Going through it for about 2 km, we'll pass through Pico do Suna, where we'll start to climb up to Terreiros. Here we'll enter a technical trail that gives us access to another technical trail, this time ascending.Continuing down to the Chão das Aboboreiras, we'll reach Levada da Serra do Faial, following it for about 4 km. After this, we'll go down between urban areas around the centre returning to the starting point.

Porto da Cruz intermediate run

This medium level 22km trail run starts next to Praia da Alagoa, going by sea, til Praia da Maiata. From here we go up til Larano.Through all the Larano's trail, we'll reach Boca do Risco where we have an uphill, which is hard but has a spectacular view.We'll cross a dirt road to the Funduras forest house and then, in a single-track curving all the mountain, we'll reach another road that leads us to Portela.Here we have an amazing view of Porto da Cruz.

Pico do Areeiro intermediate run

This medium level 12km trail begins at the third highest peak in the island: Pico do Areeiro.Mostly done by stone steps excavated in the rock we'll be starting at Ninho da Manta viewpoint, where you can see the hydrographic basin of Poiso and Fajã da Nogueira.We'll have a steep climb around the 2nd highest peak, Pico das Torres and We'll pass through Pico Ruivo's shelter, the highest peak.From here we have a 360 degrees view over the central mountain massif. The returning to Pico is done by some tunnels excavated in the rock.

Machico intermediate run

This is a medium level 17km run and we'll start at the sand beach of Machico, where we'll climb til Pico do Facho.We continue through Levada do Caniçal to Boca do Risco, and climb up to Pico das Roçadas, where you can find an excellent view over the coastal cliffs of the north and Porto Santo island.We'll start the descent to a Caniçal village through the promenade and near Ribeira do Natal we'll do a technical climb between two southern slopes. Returning to Pico do Facho, we'll do a technical descent that ends at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Machico.

Ribeiro Frio intermediate run

This is a medium level 20km run through one of the most beautiful trails in the Laurel forest.Beginning in Poiso we go through a zone covered by large pine trees til Chão da Lagoa. We contour Chão do Areeiro and after crossing the road, we'll enter an upward trail that ends at Pico do Areeiro. From this peak, we can observe the Pico Ruivo, Paul da Serra and all the central mountain massif of Madeira. The descent is made through Chão do Areeiro and Cabeço da Lenha.From here we'll go down by Levada do Blandy passing through Cabeço da Lenha.
